Social enterprise models in Portugal
This first video explores the historical trajectory of social enterprises in Portugal. Models of social enterprises ate presented such as social cooperatives and mutual societies, non-profit entrepreneurial organisations, work integration social enterprises, solidary economy enterprises and social businesses. A comparison is made between social enterprise models in Portugal and the models identified by the research project ICSEM- international Comparative social Enterprise Models.

The contribution of social enterprises to tackle social and societal challenges
This second video discusses the contribution of social enterprises in responding to social and societal challenges in the Portuguese context, focusing on four areas: employment and employability, social inclusion, art and culture and environmental sustainability. Institutional frameworks that may be favorable to the performance of social enterprises are also presented.
