As part of the program of conferences on Social Economy, on the 13th and 14th of July, organized by the Cascais Municipality, CASES and the Portuguese Presidency of the EU, in partnership with the Cascais Social Network and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra , in the context of the European capital cities of the social economy, of which Cascais is one, a workshop was held on “Social organizations and enterprises: what are we after all? Economic, social and governance aspects of social economy organizations and social enterprises “.
This workshop had two initial research interventions on social enterprises, the TIMES project and the SEFORIS project, followed by a round table of social economy organizations from the Cascais Social Network, which discussed economic, social and governance aspects of the organizations in the social economy and social enterprises, three dimensions that informed the analysis of the project’s case studies and gave rise to the typology of social enterprises.
